Our clients rarely used their back garden feeling there was little interest in the garden or shelter from the wind. They wanted a low maintenance place where they could relax and enjoy the views beyond.
Our clients were keen to have shelter from the prevailing winds so we added a stunning timber shelter with slats to the side. One of the key parts of the brief was to maximise the views so “windows” were created by the client using some perspex, maintaining shelter whilst enjoying the views.
A beautiful curving patio was created using golden sandstone, edged in sandstone setts.
Low maintenance was key so a gravel border was created. This is packed full of interest including a standing stone water feature, curving timber raised beds, a chunky timber sleeper feature and stunning shrubs planted into the gravel.
The shed was moved to the shadier end of the garden and painted slate grey to blend in with the fences and provide a lovely backdrop to the planting.
