We had previously designed our clients’ back garden and they were ready to add an extension to their house and tackle the front garden. The garden has wonderful views to the Ochil Hills and the National Wallace Monument which they wanted to make the most of with a new seating area to the front as well as new paths, steps, planting and lawn.
The existing decked path and steps were slippy and uneven so they were replaced with grey sandstone to match in with the new porch and extension brickwork. The path then led to both sides of the house creating easy journeys around the house. To one side a new patio was created outside the beautiful new garden room extension, allowing our clients to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful views.
A new cedar fence was added to the boundary and new gates were built to allow the garden to be fully secured. An arbour was added to the driveway side to create height and interest in the garden and has been planted with climbers to provide a fragrant entrance to the garden.
The rest of the garden was planted with a beautiful selection of shrubs planted in decorative gravel to create a low maintenance but attractive finish. The client added stunning lights to allow the garden to be admired day or night as well as beautiful new planters to frame the front door.
As an addition to the back garden, our clients wanted to create an outdoor kitchen. We designed and built a bespoke pergola with custom counter top with space for a Big Green Egg BBQ. Some interesting detail on the sides of the pergola creates a unique frame with space for the client to add pots of herbs, tea lights and curios.
