A Curving Sandstone Garden

Our client’s existing deck was starting to need replaced. The client wanted the garden to be lower maintenance and loved the colours and feel of natural sandstone and a more natural, curving feel to the garden. With our design tools at the ready, we set about creating the garden of her dreams…

With the client’s love of natural sandstone fresh in our minds, we set about creating a seating area to suit. We moved the main patio over to the sunniest corner of the garden and created a sandstone path which links to the morning patio. All paving specified was golden Harvest, creating a lovely light feel to the garden. As the paths and patios were curving, they were all edged in beautiful sandstone setts.

Surrounding the main patio is a beautiful sandstone raised bed, adding height and interest to the garden. Space was left in the wall for planting so that it could be filled with colour and scent.

Decorative gravel surrounds the new lawn and beautiful new shrubs were added to provide year round interest. A gabion basket bin store was built to screen off the wheely bins.
