A Tranquil Retreat

The large back garden to this beautiful home in Dunblane had become overgrown and unmanageable and had a fenced off area to the bottom which wasn’t used. The clients were looking for a low maintenance, relaxing garden with beautiful paving – a true tranquil retreat.

The clients were keen to have a beautiful, light coloured, smooth paving and opted for a vitrified paving which absorbs very little moisture so is algae resistant as well as being frost proof, resistant to scratches and anti-slip. The result is a shiny, clean patio, reminiscent of holidays in the sunshine. The paving was used to create a large patio area outside the house and some rendered in-built seating was installed to one corner of this area.

To the side is a modern rockery with beautiful large stones, cobbles and gravel, interspersed with low maintenance but stunning planting. The existing lawn was reshaped and filled in where required to make a more usable area and reduce maintenance. New borders were created with a mix of shrubbery providing year round interest.
