Our clients had a corner of their garden which they wanted transformed. Accessed from their stunning conservatory, this area required steps down to the main garden. The clients wanted to create a seating area where they could enjoy their outdoor space and the views beyond. Low maintenance was also key.
We designed a seating area level with the conservatory, perfect for entertaining, creating an extra room and enjoying the lovely views across to Stirling. A composite decking was the perfect solution – low maintenance and able to be constructed at the level of the conservatory.
The overgrown shrubs and old patio were removed and the structure of the new decking was created to make it easily accessible both from indoors and out. A balustrade was a requirement due to the height but to avoid feeling hemmed in, we opted for a more relaxed rope and post design. The chunky posts and thick ropes work beautifully with the new deck. A composite decking was chosen to make the surface a lot more low maintenance as well as a stunning finish.
A new path to link to the rest of the garden was added along with some fencing and some jungly planting to create a lush, secret garden feel to the new area.
